All your notes, clipboard clips, API keys, and configurations are stored securely on your Mac’s local disk.

Zero Telemetry & Tracking

We do not track what you type, what tools you use, which apps you run, or how often you open the notch.

No Cloud Relay

Astra has no backend servers listening to your data. AI queries and payment calls connect directly to providers.

1. 100% On-Device & Zero Data Collection

At Astra (an OrbitBy product), our policy is simple: we do not collect, store, track, or share your data. Astra is built entirely as an on-device native macOS application. It has zero tracking scripts, zero telemetry trackers, and zero remote data collectors.

2. Everything Stays on Your Mac

All features and tools operate strictly on your local machine:

  • Clipboard & Notes: Stored locally in your Mac’s memory and local disk. They never leave your device.
  • API Keys & Configurations: Saved securely on your Mac. When you send an API request, it communicates directly from your Mac to your specified endpoint. We do not proxy, intercept, or log any queries.
  • Apple Integrations (Mail, Notes, Reminders, Calendar): Processed directly on your Mac using native macOS system APIs. No emails or calendar data are transmitted externally.
  • Speech & Audio: Transcribed on-device via Apple's native Speech framework without external recording uploads.

3. Payments & Licensing

License purchases and key issuances are securely managed by Dodo Payments. We never see or store your payment card numbers or banking information. When you activate your license in the app, the key is verified directly via Dodo Payments.

4. No Analytics or Third-Party Trackers

We do not embed third-party analytics SDKs, advertising trackers, or telemetry monitoring into the Astra Mac app. You own the software and your workspace remains private.

5. Children's Privacy

Astra does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13.
